FAQ

How are your dice made?

My handmade dice are made with 2 part epoxy resin and I do every step of the process. I make the molds that the dice are cast in and each set is made by pouring resin into those molds, along with any inclusions or colours. The dice are then put into a pressure pot to reduce any bubbles and get the best quality dice for you. After removing the dice from the pressure pot, I sand, polish and ink the dice to finish them up!

How much are your dice and how do I buy them?

All of my dice are listed in CAD and standard 7 piece dice sets start at $105, pricing may increase based on how: complicated the design is and increases for sets with more dice. Raw unfinished (out of the mold and not sanded, polished or inked) sets start at $75. My full pricing list is below

The best way to buy my dice is to pay attention to my shop updates. I will post on instagram to let my followers know when I am putting dice up for sale, so make sure to follow me there to get all the latest information! I also do giveaways from time to time, so you may get lucky and win some of my dice that way.  I also post my dice on the Handmade Dice Market Group on Facebook now and then

How often do you update your shop?

While dice making is very enjoyable and a creative outlet, it is time consuming and a lot of work to do everything start to finish. I do have a full time job and making dice is something I do in my spare time, meaning that it can take a little while to build up stock for a new sale. The best practice is to check my instagram to see when I am updating my shop as I will always give at least a week's notice for the updates

What can I expect buying handmade dice?

As these dice are handmade, please keep in mind that there may be small imperfections that show up during the process. I am quite diligent with my sanding and polishing process to remove any issues that I see, but sometimes it's not possible to fix them all. If there are any significant issues, then I will mention these in the listing and they will be priced to reflect that. Make sure to read the listing and check the photos before you purchase so  you are aware of issues if there are any

Are your dice balanced?

Handmade dice are generally more balanced than the vast majority of factory produced ones, including companies like crystal caste and Chessex. As mentioned above, the dice I make are cast in a pressure pot to reduce bubbles. I also inspect, sand and polish them all to ensure to best finish and balance possible. While larger non resin inclusions can throw off the weight of the dice, I do everything I can to ensure a fair roll. They're not casino grade for gambling, but are definitely great for D&D
